Alumni Retreat
May 15 – 18, 2025
The Alumni Retreat is for those who have attended at least 2 61A retreats. At this 3 night, 4 day retreat, we will work together as a group to provide times of solitude and refreshing with our Lord. Whether you serve the group by helping with a meal, reading a passage of scripture, leading a worship song, or facilitating a discussion, there are countless ways we can serve! In this way, we get to experience the beauty of community. We have HEARD His Voice, HEALED from hurts, and GROWN in Him. Now it is time to GIVE it away through servant leadership. As we are filled by Him, we are able to pour out to others!

I wondered how in the world they could possibly complain about having to eat manna every day when […]

Sabbatical Thoughts
Exhausted, emotional, and overwhelmed. That is how I felt this past spring. It was a full season with many activities, responsibilities, and events. (A common season in my family!) Thankfully, all of the “things” were positive and good! But even in the midst of so much good, it can feel burdensome when it affects your […]
Test It – Six Questions to Help You Know if God Really Said That
If you’ve been following us for a while, you know that journaling with Jesus is very important to us here at Sixty-One Acres. It is one of the many ways we can build intimacy with our Lord. When we journal with Jesus, it’s not “dear diary” writing—it is a two-way conversation with the God of […]
